Der Yacon Sirup, dessen Geschmack an Honig erinnert, eignet sich als Alternative zu Haushaltszucker (Saccharose).
Er sollte nicht über 120° erhitzt werden, da sonst wertvolle Inhaltsstoffe verloren gehen. Darum den Sirup den Speisen vorzugsweise nach dem Kochen und Backen dazugeben. Der Sirup eignet sich vor allem als Zugabe für Desserts, Glace, Müeslis, Smoothies etc. Der Sirup kann auch einfach mit einem Löffel oder verdünnt mit Wasser als typischer Sirup eingenommen werden. Empfehlenswert ist es auch vor jeder Mahlzeit einen Kaffeelöffel des Sirups einzunehmen.
